The fire was contained about 5 miles before it reached El Portal. Thank you firefighters! The smoke and ash were bothering us all, not to mention the lack of electricity for 5 days with 90 degree weather. My mom, Juniper, Trango and I packed up and headed to Fresno to Frank and Patti's house, with a stop for a night at the "haunted hotel" (another story, another time). Thank you to Jasmine and Teddy for welcoming us and making sure we had all we needed, and for having dinner with us!! Thanks to Patti and Frank for sharing your space and electricity with us, giving so much love to Trango, Juniper's first piano lesson and making us feel so welcomed!!! And Thanks to my mom and Michelle for coming and keeping me company and helping me take care of Juniper and Trango.
We could not have done it without you all!!!
Josh is home and had a wonderful trip. Juniper definatley remembered him and gave him a big smile!!
