My dears---With the impending arrival of little Juniper, I failed to let you know how deeply saddened I was upon Keoke's passing. She was such a significant part of your lives and of ours. When Dad and I first re-connected, we went to Yosemite (I was in a cast as a result of a recent surgery.) to watch Josh scaling ElCap. I was seated in a beach chair---anxiously observing the ascent---when suddenly I saw nothing but blue sky and lots of silky fur. Precious Keoke had knocked me backwards and was licking my face. I was probably more blown away by that than whatever else was going on. the descent. We have that photo somewhere, and I'll never forget that moment. Keoke will always be with you and with all of us. You have given her a beautiful, loving life, and she will sorely be missed. May her memory---don't forget that wonderful oatmeal story,among others---continue to live in your happiest memories of her......We'll never forget her...loveyou3, P.
